Reflections

Well, in exactly a week I will be graduating high school.
Honestly, the only thing that makes me the least bit emotional is how much I’ve done since entering high school. I look back at all the things I’ve done since entering the 9th grade, and to me it seems normal, but I feel like to anyone else it would be a wild life.

I’m so grateful for the path and the choices I’ve taken in my life. Going to an arts school, leaving, making the friends I’ve made, going on trips, playing shows, learning music, busting missions, and all other exciting times I’ve had. Nothing would be with same if it wasn’t for certain people playing specific roles in my life. From my best friend Carlos, to my 7th and 8th grade band teacher Juan Turros, people have impacted my life in ways that I could never put to words. I’ll never be able to thank them enough.

As I go I’ll mostly be missing room 506. The choir room. A room that has built so many memories. Ryan Ellis, the leader of room 506, has been such a role model for me. I’ve taken so much from him and he doesn’t even know the half of it! I’ll miss seeing that man every day.

I know the world has so much more for me and I am so ready to accept it!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed high school as much as I did.

I’m just going to say it. This is the best trio to ever exist.Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, and Jack DeJohnette are just absolutely phenomenal together. To these guys, the art of jazz and improvisation is a thing not everyone can experience and it is truly a shame.
The Keith Jarrett Trio are just not from this planet and saying that they’re talented or that they’re awesome, doesn’t at all get near to the glory of what is their playing.
If you ever joke about music today being “real music”, just look to these cats and you will literally engulf yourself in real fucking music.
I hope you enjoy.

For those of you who aren’t in my English class.

Here’s a little poem I wrote for a project.
*Give me credit if you reblog or post any where else

You are there when the sun is high.
When the cold is strong, you are there.
I may not feel to par,
I am feeling well and there you are.
In your case, size does not matter.
When I blow you scatter.
I won’t interrupt, you multiply.
You are in all of us, girl and guy.
Your purpose is to behoove,
Yet we see you as a pain.
Although you can be a hassle,
I appreciate when you’re around.
Small in size but large in quantity,
You fill whatever space you want to be.
In retrospect you’re a part of me.
At times I want you out,
Taking all the room in my snout.
I pick, I blow, and I flick you away,
You’re at your worst when you come that day.
Oh no I’m sick again!
Here you are,
Not as sweet like sugar.
I wish I could get rid of this booger.
